Why Radiant?
Built of 70 facets with soft edges this rectangular shape disperses more light than most shapes making it the more brilliant of the rectangular and square shaped diamond. As well as more facets, it is a hybrid of both brilliant and step cut facets so the radiant cut disguises the inclusions that other shapes do not which makes it the best of both worlds when selecting a diamond
Did you know?
A radiant cut diamond is one of the more modern cuts in the diamond world – originating as we know it in the 1970s. They reached greater popularity with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon wearing these beautiful stones.
Diamond Facet Structure
Available as both a square and a rectangular shape, radiant cut diamonds usually have 70 facets. For a square shaped radiant, a ratio of 1.0-1.05 is required and will be certified as “cut-cornered square” whereas rectangular radiants will have a ratio of 1.05+ and certified “rectangular brilliant.”
